Cornelis Schuyt (1557-1616) was a Dutch organ player and composer.
He was the son of Floris Schuyt, organ player at the Pieters Church and the Hooglandse Church at Leiden.
After a study journey to Italy he was in 1593 appointed as organ player with his father at both churches. At the same time he was obliged to perform several musical tasks for the municipality. He married in the same year. The marriage remained childless. After his father's death he became head organ player. He was during his working life a highly esteemed. After his death in 1616 he was buried in the Pieters Church. (A great honor)

Much of his work was in the contemporary Italian style. He published three volumes of madrigals.
Schuyt's music was traditionally renaissance, one searches in vain for influences of Monteverdi or Sweelinck.
